Traumatic Brain Injuries

Helping Victims of Traumatic Brain Injuries

At the Law Offices of Sanford M. Cipinko, our lawyers have more than 30 years of experience getting results for traumatic brain injury (TBI) victims. We understand that these injuries are intricate medical conditions, and that one case could be significantly different from the next. Our experience allows us to adapt quickly to the needs of each client in order to pursue full compensation.

Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI)

The word “mild” is a misnomer, as the damage caused by these injuries can be life-changing. The damage is not always immediately visible. It may involve memory loss, personality change, depression, dizziness or other forms of brain damage. Because these symptoms can appear similar to the normal results of aging, it can be difficult to prove a mild traumatic brain injury to an insurance company or jury.

Moderate Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI)

The distinction between mild traumatic brain injury and moderate traumatic brain injury is not always clear cut. However, in medical terms, the types may be differentiated by the amount of time that the victim was unconscious. The victim may have similar symptoms, including invisible injuries such as memory loss and loss of cognitive functions, as well as physical symptoms like headaches, blurred vision, dizziness or nausea.

Severe Traumatic Brain Injury (STBI)

Severe traumatic brain injury cases tend to involve the victim losing their capacity to function. The injury may result in a coma or a permanent vegetative state. It may result in loss of bodily functions.

Handling all cases on a contingency basis

In personal injury cases, you will only be asked to pay attorney fees if we are successful in recovering compensation for you.
